FAQs

Common questions about our design process, timelines, materials, and what to
expect before construction begins.

We begin with an in-home consultation and detailed measurements. From there, we develop the layout and review material selections. Once the design is finalized, we provide documentation for your contractor and assist with ordering cabinetry and finishes. Construction begins after plans and materials are confirmed.

Yes. In addition to kitchens and bathrooms, we design bar areas, laundry rooms, pantries, home offices, entertainment centers, wardrobe rooms, closets, and pet wash stations. We also provide residential floor planning and ADU space layouts.

Once the material is selected and purchased, a template is scheduled. A deposit is required before templating. Cabinets must be installed, secured, and level before measurement. Plumbing is disconnected prior to removal of old countertops and reconnected after installation.

Fabrication typically takes about one week after templating. Installation follows shortly after. The full process usually takes 10–14 days from template to install.

Both are durable countertop options. Granite is a natural stone, so each slab is unique. Quartz is engineered, non-porous, and offers more consistent patterning. The right choice depends on maintenance preferences, color goals, and overall design direction.

Cabinet hardware is not automatically included. Doors and drawers are not pre-drilled. Hardware is selected separately and specified during the design process. We help determine quantity, style, and placement before ordering.

Timelines depend on the scope of work. A smaller bathroom renovation may take several weeks, while a full kitchen remodel can take a few months. Factors such as cabinetry lead times, material availability, permitting, and contractor schedules all affect the timeline.

Lead times vary based on the type of cabinetry selected.

  • Custom cabinetry: Typically 8–10 weeks. Built to order with full customization options.
  • Semi-custom cabinetry: Usually 6–8 weeks. Standard sizes with limited customization.
  • Stock cabinetry: Generally 2–4 weeks. Pre-manufactured options with limited modifications.

We review timelines before placing any orders so expectations are clear.

Refacing can be appropriate if cabinet boxes are structurally sound and in good condition. If the cabinet construction is particle board or compromised, refacing may not be a long-term solution. Because cabinetry represents a significant portion of a remodel budget, we evaluate the condition carefully before recommending this approach.

Wood flooring can work well in a kitchen, especially for warmth and visual continuity. However, it is more vulnerable to standing water and flooding than tile or luxury vinyl. We review lifestyle considerations before recommending flooring materials.
